COSPLAY! ~UPDATES

Hello everyone! Today I revised my "old" posts about the yasuo progress, and I thought to modify some (with more pictures I took, to make it more visual),but I thought to make a new post too, with the progress (PART 2) about the "Breastplate" so, let's go! :D
*You can take a look about the changes I made in the old posts, specify on the bamboo drink, and sword one!*

I'm gonna start with the breastplate, because I was so sorry for couldn't post all in the same :'<

BREASTPLATE PART 2/2

The last time, we let the tutorial on the glazzier's putty, we let it dry!
Then we need sandpaper to give an uniform form, and remove/hide the imperfections and lumps.
(Repeat the step glazzier's putty-sandpaper all the times you need to make it look better and prettier. I did it just 2 times, because I don't have time enough... But sure I'm gonna make again a breastplate when I have all the cosplay finished!)

Then, I gave it a layer of vinyl latex as I do with the props ( I used it for the sword too) to give consistence.
When it's dry paint. I took a blue spray, you can take the color you prefer, it costs 3$-2€ more less, in some 1$/1€ shop, and paint!

The funniest part is to look inside the cosplay parts, because it's just horrible, outside looks pretty but inside omg...
You can notice the imperfections and lumps ;_;
But as I said, I had no time enough so for now, I'm gonna use this breastplate, and when this cosplay it's finished, I'm gonna make a new one, following the same steps, but being more perfectionist as I want to make it looks the best I can!

Notice the 3 little holes (3 on every side=6)I made it to put the brown lace and adjust it to my body ^^

When I took this picture I noticed I did this part without any time, and I'm gonna pay for it... I'm so sorry I still can't post the new one (breastplate) because the first one I made have a lot of imperfections... ;_;

Please guys, don't be like me, I made the back of the breastplate so fast and you can appreciate how bad looks (on the back).
For halloween (well, I mean from this friday to the next tuesday ^^') I'm gonna make the cloth part and post it! And I'm going to post about the armor pieces too! :D
It's hard for me to post because I don't have enough time to advance the cosplay so I just can say sorry and tell you to be patient :(

*These are the shoe laces I ordered and their respective link*

Okay! I added a dark brown line on the bottom of the breastplate, to make it look less simply ^^' It's hard to appreciate the color, but isn't that black, the line :(
And that's all! When I get the laces, I'm gonna advise and post how it looks with it!
But that isn't the end of this post! I have another one I want to separate, about the cover sword!
And something more
SEE YOU GUYS!
I HOPE YOU ENJOY THIS TUTORIAL AND IT COULD BE HELPFULL FOR YOU!

YASUO COSPLAY 2nd PART!

Hello everyone!
Today I'm gonna post the second part I said I was going to post :D
I wish you enjoyed and understood the first one easily! Then, let's start!

7) When the vinyl latex it's dry, you can start to paint the sword! (THIS STEP IS FULL OF PAINT YAY!) I usually tend to do it with spray, but I couldn't find the silver one I'm always using so I had to take an acrylic silver paint (btw, it was a nice buy, it takes more time to paint than using spray, but the color looks so cool! And I'll still buying this one againg when the one I have it's over^^')
In this step, (WAIT. I FORGOT TO MENTION I PUT A LITTLE OF WHITE GLUE IN THE EVA FOAM, BECAUSE THAT WILL MAKE YOUR EVA FOAM TAKE CONSISTENCE AND BETTER COLOR IF YOU WANT TO PAINT IT LATER) I had a little problem, I forgot to cover 100% the handgrip so my brown handgrip turned  brown with silver dots... Then I used my dark brown spray (you can use dark brown normal paint  if you have ofc) and i put it on a paper (kitchen paper) and I made the movement as I was cleaning the handgrip with the brown painted paper, and it was a good idea, because I loved the result!
Resultado de imagen de spray marron oscuro
The first one is the one I usually use (silver), and the second one is the brown I already have.
There I let you a picture about the silver acrylic paint I'm working with (<3)
Its...Just an awesome paint. Highly recommended!
When I did all this stuff (paint paint paint paint...')

8) I aged the sword... How? I luv so much to make this, and share this... trick? here, makes me feel so happy :3
You can get a black acrylic paint pot for 50cts. or less than 1$ somewhere, you're gonna take again the kitchen paper, and  put a little quantity of this paint (black) on the paper. Make the movement as you're cleaning the sword with the painted paper, and be sure to fill the recesses!
I'm sorry I couldn't took pictures between I was painting.. I had my hands (literally) black... See how it looks!
THIS PICTURE WAS BEFORE I AGED!

THIS PICTURE WAS AFTER I AGED!

THE FULL RESULT YAY!
I wish you can notice the difference and you like the result! Because I loved! I know you can find a lot of forms to make these things, but that's the one I recommend to make, because of the result! :D

*If you want me to post about the armor and the other stuff make me know it please! :D*
SEE YA!

Yasuo Sword! WIP WIP WIP

Don't trust the title, have past around 2 days since I did (AND FINISHED YAY) the sword!

FINALLY I CAN MAKE THE FULL T-U-T-O-R-I-A-L

Hello everyone! I'm gonna start step by step how I made my sword (I don't mean it's gonna be the best "tutorial" about how to made that sword or another, because you have a lot of ways to make your cosplay props and costumes. But I want to share with all of you (I will not have many people following me and this progress or some tutorial made by me, but I want to share also for the few people who may be interested :D! More people I could help more reasons to be glad for, yay!)
I'M TALKING TO MUCH I'M SO SORRY.

1)Then, the first picture you're seeing it's what I made to use as a pattern to make the sword. I used a rule to measure how long I wanted to make my sword, I have to say I really didn't follow this sizes 100% because in my way making the pattern on paper I thought I wanted to made it longer.
2)You can imagine what I did after make the pattern (I did it with Paint Tool Sai)...
This material its called "chovafoam" (at least in spain) it's like
compact insulating foam, and at least this one it is thick. (This is really cheap, around 3€/3'30$ on "Leroy Merlin").
I traced the silouette on the chovafoam and I cutted it using a cutter. This material isn't that strong, but it's deep, so that makes hard to cut it fast, cut it all took me around 30 minutes-1 hour... I used a strong knife to some parts, because my fingers were hurt because of pushing that hard the cutter... I recommend you to "take a break" between you're cutting this, and wear gloves, because it could damage a little your hands. (Don't be like me, I'm always doing it without any protection and cutting 'till I end and I'm always getting hurt, because isn't that serious the damage lol, but don't be like me D:)
It's gonna look like this when you finish:

3) Looks bad. But just at this moment. The next step (I'm sorry I don't took any pic of this part D: ) I gave form with the knife to the sword edge and the handgrip. I'm not gonna mention it after, so I'm telling now, I used a sander, to sand the edge and make it more thin (NOT TO MUCH, BECAUSE IT COULD MAKE THE EDGE BREAK EASY!) and make it more round. I don't took pictures about how I did/how looks exactly, but I'm gonna explain more later ^^'.
Maybe it's useless to mention but if you don't have a sander you could just use sand paper, it's harder and it's gonna take more time for you, but it's just another way to do it.

4) For the next step I used paper and scotch tape to put the details, there you can see what I mean better!

5) This part is more complicated to explain for me, so sorry if it's hard to you to understand :'c
I used kitchen paper, yes the paper roll all of us have in our kitchen! I cut it with my hands into a little pieces, and I sticked with white glue on the two parts (you can see on these two pics here ^^^^) I put paper to give relief. Some pics to make it easier to understand :3
6)When it's dry, it's going to look like this more less ^^^^. Then I used glazier's putty (you have a pic with the exactly brand I usually use, and the one I recommend). And with sand paper (this part is by hand because the details are so little to use a sander) I started to polish all this parts:
6)You can notice here the edge was finished (talkin just about the form, still not painted or sth here) and you have here how looks the details. I forgot to mention about the handgrip, I cut eva foam strips, and I'm sorry I don't know the name about that I used to scratch with this the strips, but I made it to make it look more as... Hm... Judge by yourselves :D I put them into the handgrip with hot silicone! (Glue gun)
7) I gave it around 3 layers of mastic/glazier's putty and I was sandpapering until I thought it was necessary to make it look as I wanted. Okay, so I put vinyl latex (if you want, ask me about where to get/use some materials if you still don't know, and I'll be glad to answer and post if it's necessary, with pictures to make it more visual and easier! I'm always using this one, I can't remember but I think it's around 5$/4€ on "Leroy Merlin". That's gonna toughen all of the sword, give consistency and resistance (IT'S A REALLY USEFULL PRODUCT (ESPECIALLY FOR PROPS), FROM MY POINT OF VIEW :D )

Hey everyone! I don't want to make that post longer, so I'm gonna make another part with the rest of the progress D:
I hope you like it and I hope wish could be usefull for someone! See you!
*Thanks you so much, the people who support me, even if it's not a lot of people, I'm glad to know I'm doing things and sharing it for people who enjoy my work! :D

Yasuo bamboo drink *UPDATED*

Hello everyone! Today I'm gonna talk about how I made the Bamboo drink that Yasuo have on his back bottom.                                   Okay, so this is how the bottle looks like:
I made an eva foam cricle to make the base of the "bottle, I used a compass to make it easier and polished.
I'm sorry I didn't take a picture about how the pieces looks like before mounting them :(  I made 3 pieces, the base, the top (with a little hole, to "drink" from it) and the cover part. I used a type of tape to stick the parts. Then I used hot silicone (I applied with a glue gun) to fix the 3 parts, and I made 2 lines with the hot silicone too (you can appreciate 1 of the lines in the picture, to make the bamboo looks more as a bamboo.
Personally, I don't think that's hard to make, it was the easier part
to make I think and the faster one for me, it took me around 30 min. By the way, the quality of the picture don't let me show you how the real color looks like, but the yellow isn't that yellow, I used 2/3 white paint and 1/3 of yellow paint (To make the green one I used 1/3 blue paint and 2/3 yellow again because I didn't have at the moment the green color).
I hope it was easy to understand, at really I don't know how to explain that because I think it's so easy to make yourself, and I wish you have a great result with it! :D
*AS I SAID, HERE YOU HAVE MORE PICTURES ABOUT HOW LOOKS THE BAMBOO WHEN FINALIZED!*

Yasuo - League of Legends #CosplayInProgress

Hello everyone!
I have tight time to make cosplay and DIY posts for you so, I can't post as much as I want to :(
I'm making a genderbend cosplay (At the bottom part I'm gonna explain what means genderbend cosplay okay :D)
from Yasuo, and I want to show you how I'm making him, of course with cheap and basic materials (That NOT means it's gonna look bad, cheaper means cheaper, not worst) it's more difficult than using the expensive new ones maybe, but I'm secure this is taking the right way!
At first I'm gonna talk about the one I think it was the easier to make it, the "Breastplate".

Breastplate

This part isn't necessary if you're men, or if you have another alternative or idea. I made it just to cover my bust, and I did using foil. I put the foil on my breasts and I pressed it a little to make it take my bust form, then i took off and I cut it (Caution! Try to take off carefully, don't make it lose the bust form!) in 3 pieces.
Then, i traced the form to eva foam.
When I got the 6 pieces (3 for boob c: ) I put it together with a type of tape. Don't care which type is if it works!
[SORRY ABOUT THE DISORDER OMG]
Of course you need a base to put these two bust parts, I didn't took pictures about how I made it, but you can see is just a wide strip (made it with eva foam too). I made 3 holes on the two ends to put together with a lace or shoelace, and let it dry (later) with the circle form (as our body). To make it look cooler I put on the edge below another evafoam tight layer, but isn't necessary.
When I have time I'm gonna add [here] a picture about how I'm doing it, because I used white glue (to plug the eva foam holes) and when it dried I put glazier's putty. Today I'm waiting untill dry, to sand it. Then I'm gonna paint it with blue spray, and I'm gonna show it in another post! [PART 2] the pictures about how it looks!

Armor Parts

This one it's gonna look as the easier part, but I have to say it was the worst but the funniest. This took me days, just because I don't have time enough to make them in just one day, I had to take a break.

There you have ALL the armor pieces, I'm sorry you can't see them crearly but I cannot do something to make them look in high quality :(
At the bottom of this post I'm gonna let the page where I took the 3D character clothes, to see all the patterns. At first I had to take my measures for myself, that's easy, trust me. I used paper, to take all the patterns and put it to the eva foam (You can see a lot of colors on there, but it's just because I ran out my red/brown evafoam and I had to use the other eva foam colors I found in my home. I used hot silicone, you can find the silicone rods and the glue gun on some cheap 1€ store.
I just put it all toghether and tomorrow I'm gonna paint them with metallic paint. Picture [here] when they're painted. To make them take the curve form to adapt to my body, I used a hair dryer and I kept my hands giving the eva foam curvy form to adapt to my arms/legs/etc. I hold them to my body with tapes, everyone decides which type of tape, I used eva foam and velcro and just eva foam for some other parts. To make all my pieces looks deteriorated/decayed I always use black acrylic paint and a cloth. I put the paint to the cloth and I pass it like cleaning to all the armor parts. I'm gonna post [here] how it looks.

That's all for today guys! Tomorrow I'm gonna post how I'm making the sword and maybe something else! I wish you like and support these posts to still talking about my cosplay progress! I hope you like it and could be usefull for all of you! If you have some request or question don't doubt about to tell me, I'll be glad to answer and help you ᕕ(ᐛ)ᕗ
SEE YA GUYS!
