Hello everyone!
I shared around 30 minutes ago the breastplate tutorial, and I hope it was easy to understand!
(My english still having gaps)
Now I want to talk about the cover sword, because it was all without being planned :D
And the result was cooler as someone expects :3
How I made the form?
I covered the sword with
eva foam to measure the lenght and the diameter.

I used a
tape (Isn't an aid tape, but similar, I'm sorry I couldn't find the original name in english to tell you but there's a pic :<*
I used it to stick the eva foam as you can see. For the base I used a circle of eva foam, and I have a "secret" about how to give the perfect circle form to my cover sword! :D
The tape I used had
2 covers so I used them both to give consistence and support.
Here you can appreciate more less..
I thought about to take pictures about how it looks inside when I painted, so I let here some spoiler about how ends ^^'
On the top you can see (painted in silver-blue inside) the cover, and here>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> The bottom of the cover, with another circle cover (the white plastic circle). If you don't have these covers, you can use something who replaces this, as normal tape or something who have the same diameter.
<<<<<<<< The bottom looks like this outside!

Then I made the pieces/details whose the cover sword have
with eva foam too, (don't have any pics about the pieces ;_;) and I put them on the cover with
hot silicone (glue gun).
When it's dry and completely fixed, give a generous layer of white glue to plug the eva foam pores!
When it's dry, you can start to paint it!
I used the same
blue color as the breastplate, and I used the
acrylyc silver metallic paint I mentioned posts before ^^

That's how it looks when it's all painted!

And I couldn't let like this (If you like, of course you can let the cover like this!) because I love to put the worn out effect :D
1 Applying the worn out effect
2 After the worn out effect
3 Worn out applied!
*Maybe it's hard to notice here the effect, but at least face-to-face, you can notice it! I loved how looks when it's painted without this effect, but to make it more realistic, I think it's "must to" do it with this effect.
(JUST MY OPINION :D )
I have no more to say about the cover! I hope it was cleary explained and you like the result!
I have to make a little add+, because I want to explain why I'm that late posting :( I ordered some stuff on ebay, as I said on the last post, and I have to wait until they arrive to my house :<
Remember this part of the cosplay where he have on the chest, belt/straps? I ordered 2 belts to make it, (still waiting for them) and I made with curtain hooks the metal circles he have.
*You can check here the part I mean, and all the character, to have a pattern to follow the details and pieces! http://www.lolking.net/models?champion=157&skin=0 *
How I did the circles :D
That's easy, I used the curtain hooks I said (You can appreciate in this picture, and I used my sweet good friend
acrylyc silver metallic paint to make it look metallic. (Face to face, these circles really looks as metallic stuff, that's so cool :D)
And I'm gonna show you on the future posts, when I get the belts I ordered, how to make the straps with these circles! Be patients with me :D
I'm gonna let here the ebay belts I bought! I'm not sure if you can notice the stuff I ordered from ebay it's all on sale, because I prefer to buy all these things for a cheap price (and still good quality ofc) than buy them for an expensive and stupid price... I like to search the cheap! So if someone is having problems to find something you need, but can't find the lowest price, contact me! I'll give you all the help I can! :D
Belt link:Ebay belt link direction!
*Be sure the diameter of the circles it's the same or less than the belts you're gonna use!!!!*
I have no time to correct this post as I usually try to do because of the time... I'll try to do it tomorrow! D:
SEE YOU CUTIES!
