Yasuo Sword! WIP WIP WIP

Don't trust the title, have past around 2 days since I did (AND FINISHED YAY) the sword!

FINALLY I CAN MAKE THE FULL T-U-T-O-R-I-A-L

Hello everyone! I'm gonna start step by step how I made my sword (I don't mean it's gonna be the best "tutorial" about how to made that sword or another, because you have a lot of ways to make your cosplay props and costumes. But I want to share with all of you (I will not have many people following me and this progress or some tutorial made by me, but I want to share also for the few people who may be interested :D! More people I could help more reasons to be glad for, yay!)
I'M TALKING TO MUCH I'M SO SORRY.

1)Then, the first picture you're seeing it's what I made to use as a pattern to make the sword. I used a rule to measure how long I wanted to make my sword, I have to say I really didn't follow this sizes 100% because in my way making the pattern on paper I thought I wanted to made it longer.
2)You can imagine what I did after make the pattern (I did it with Paint Tool Sai)...
This material its called "chovafoam" (at least in spain) it's like
compact insulating foam, and at least this one it is thick. (This is really cheap, around 3€/3'30$ on "Leroy Merlin").
I traced the silouette on the chovafoam and I cutted it using a cutter. This material isn't that strong, but it's deep, so that makes hard to cut it fast, cut it all took me around 30 minutes-1 hour... I used a strong knife to some parts, because my fingers were hurt because of pushing that hard the cutter... I recommend you to "take a break" between you're cutting this, and wear gloves, because it could damage a little your hands. (Don't be like me, I'm always doing it without any protection and cutting 'till I end and I'm always getting hurt, because isn't that serious the damage lol, but don't be like me D:)
It's gonna look like this when you finish:

3) Looks bad. But just at this moment. The next step (I'm sorry I don't took any pic of this part D: ) I gave form with the knife to the sword edge and the handgrip. I'm not gonna mention it after, so I'm telling now, I used a sander, to sand the edge and make it more thin (NOT TO MUCH, BECAUSE IT COULD MAKE THE EDGE BREAK EASY!) and make it more round. I don't took pictures about how I did/how looks exactly, but I'm gonna explain more later ^^'.
Maybe it's useless to mention but if you don't have a sander you could just use sand paper, it's harder and it's gonna take more time for you, but it's just another way to do it.

4) For the next step I used paper and scotch tape to put the details, there you can see what I mean better!

5) This part is more complicated to explain for me, so sorry if it's hard to you to understand :'c
I used kitchen paper, yes the paper roll all of us have in our kitchen! I cut it with my hands into a little pieces, and I sticked with white glue on the two parts (you can see on these two pics here ^^^^) I put paper to give relief. Some pics to make it easier to understand :3
6)When it's dry, it's going to look like this more less ^^^^. Then I used glazier's putty (you have a pic with the exactly brand I usually use, and the one I recommend). And with sand paper (this part is by hand because the details are so little to use a sander) I started to polish all this parts:
6)You can notice here the edge was finished (talkin just about the form, still not painted or sth here) and you have here how looks the details. I forgot to mention about the handgrip, I cut eva foam strips, and I'm sorry I don't know the name about that I used to scratch with this the strips, but I made it to make it look more as... Hm... Judge by yourselves :D I put them into the handgrip with hot silicone! (Glue gun)
7) I gave it around 3 layers of mastic/glazier's putty and I was sandpapering until I thought it was necessary to make it look as I wanted. Okay, so I put vinyl latex (if you want, ask me about where to get/use some materials if you still don't know, and I'll be glad to answer and post if it's necessary, with pictures to make it more visual and easier! I'm always using this one, I can't remember but I think it's around 5$/4€ on "Leroy Merlin". That's gonna toughen all of the sword, give consistency and resistance (IT'S A REALLY USEFULL PRODUCT (ESPECIALLY FOR PROPS), FROM MY POINT OF VIEW :D )

Hey everyone! I don't want to make that post longer, so I'm gonna make another part with the rest of the progress D:
I hope you like it and I hope wish could be usefull for someone! See you!
*Thanks you so much, the people who support me, even if it's not a lot of people, I'm glad to know I'm doing things and sharing it for people who enjoy my work! :D
